Martin Guptillb Kagiso Rabada 4 16 1 0 25
4.3
K Rabada to M Guptill, OUT! Cleaned him up! Beautiful yorker! Guptill backs away a tad bit looking to hit it over covers, however the pace was too much for him and misses it. The ball takes the bails off and the batsman has to depart. The danger man who scored 180 has to make way for his captain.
Dean Brownlielbw b Andile Phehlukwayo 24 37 3 0 64.86
11.3
A Phehlukwayo to D Brownlie, OUT! LBW! That is so, so plumb. On a length outside off, Brownlie looked to manufacture a whip through mid-wicket but then that manufacturing needed some connection. The willow came down late and missed the ball and it made contact with the pads. Phehlukwayo appealed, the umpire took his time and eventually raised his finger! Brownlie had a long chat with Taylor but was sent on his way back. Hawk Eye showed it to be missing off. Missing leg. Hitting middle. Bang!
Kane Williamson (C)run out (AB de Villiers) 9 16 1 0 56.25
10.6
I Tahir to D Brownlie, OUT! Williamson is gone. Big trouble. Communication failure. Around off, Brownlie worked it through mid-wicket. He set off for the single and Williamson responded but then AB de Villiers at short mid-wicket threw himself to his right and stopped the ball. Now, Brownlie stuttered and so did Williamson. De Villiers was quick to pick up and throw the ball to de Kock who disturbed the bails. Williamson's bat got stuck outside the crease and the Proteas started celebrating. It was referred upstairs and sure enough, Williamson was nowhere in the frame. Massive blow.
Ross Taylorlbw b Andile Phehlukwayo 8 12 1 0 66.67
15.6
A Phehlukwayo to R Taylor, OUT! LBW! Oh dear... this is T-R-O-U-B-L-E for the Kiwis. On a length outside off, nipping back in, Taylor makes the big mistake of playing across the line. Now, when you take that risk, you should not miss the ball. Else you can be a dead duck. That is exactly what happened to Brownlie. That has exactly what has happened to Taylor. Plumb LBW. The Kiwis are throwing it away here. 3 wickets for 9 runs in the last 5.1 overs. Phehlukwayo has his second.
Luke Ronchi (W)c Quinton de Kock b Chris Morris 8 20 1 0 40
19.2
C Morris to L Ronchi, OUT! Gloved behind! The Black Caps have now lost half their side as Morris gets amongst the wickets as well. A short ball outside off, Ronchi perhaps initially thinks of ramping it over the keeper. Then maybe he thinks better of it. Tries to sway away. But while doing so, the ball just brushes his gloves enroute to de Kock. The Proteas erupt in an appeal and the umpire raises his finger. A promising stand is broken.
Jimmy Neeshamc JP Duminy b Kagiso Rabada 24 24 4 1 100
22.3
K Rabada to J Neesham, OUT! What a review. On the first instance, it seemed like it is India who took the review and not South Africa given that they have a knack of wasting the reviews. It looked like that it came off his helmet. But replays show it didn't. Back of a length delivery, angling in, Neesham looks to pull it away but is no position to do it whatsoever. It kisses the bat, hits the helmet and lobs towards point as Duminy collects it easily. South Africans appeal but the umpire is unmoved. The South Africans review it successfully. The misery continues for the hosts. They are six down!
Mitchell Santnerrun out (JP Duminy) 24 50 3 0 48
34.6
D Pretorius to M Santner, OUT! Wonderful piece of fielding! On a length around off, Santner tries to steer it down past point, but fails and sets off. As Duminy dives to his left, makes a sharp save and direct hits at the striker's end. Santner is way out of his crease and the South Africans are delighted! The single was not there and a promising partnership has been broken due to some athletic fielding from JP!
Colin de Grandhommec Quinton de Kock b Kagiso Rabada 32 48 1 1 66.67
41.1
K Rabada to de Grandhomme, OUT! Excellent review this! Rabada thinks he's got his man and wants a review. QDK too is assured that Colin has nicked it and AB reviews it! Coming back to the delivery, it was a back of a length ball, around off, Colin looks to whack it away over mid-wicket but only manages to get a faint edge to QDK. The snicko shows that there was an edge and the Kiwis are all out for 149!
Tim Southeec & b Imran Tahir 6 7 0 1 85.71
36.3
I Tahir to Tim Southee, OUT! Caught and bowled! This was coming. Full and outside off, Southee looks to sweep it away but ends up fetching for it. Gets a top edge which goes straight up in the air. Tahir jogs back and takes a dolly. Simple catch.
Jeetan Patellbw b Imran Tahir 0 5 0 0 0
38.2
I Tahir to J Patel, OUT! LBW! The googly does the trick. Patel stays back to work it to the leg side but the ball straightens, goes past his bat and hits him on the pads. Tahir appeals and the umpire raises his finger. Was the impact outside off? Will have to wait to see the replays. Patel has a chat with de Grandhomme about the review but the latter sends him back. Hawk Eye shows the IMPACT OUTSIDE OFF. Missing off too. Tough luck.

Quinton de Kock (W)c Kane Williamson b Jeetan Patel 6 10 1 0 60
2.1
J Patel to de Kock, OUT! De Kock departs! Flighted outside off, de Kock comes down the track and looks to go over the top. However, he is not to the pitch of the ball and miscues it. The ball goes in the air and seems to be evading mid off but Kane Williamson runs back from inside the circle, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a spectacular catch. Patel gets Quinnie again.
Hashim Amlac Mitchell Santner b Colin de Grandhomme 8 28 1 0 28.57
11.5
de Grandhomme to H Amla, OUT! This was coming. The pressure was building and the South African batsmen were clearly struggling. Length ball, around off, Amla drives it with total control though directly to Santner at covers who reverse cups it. The dot balls have handed the wicket to New Zealand.

JP Duminyc Mitchell Santner b Jeetan Patel 3 10 0 0 30
15.2
J Patel to JP Duminy, OUT! If there is one word that aptly describes Duminy it is loose! Tossed up delivery outside off, a casual drive by JP goes straight to Santner at covers who is more than happy to catch it. The ploy to give Duminy more time at the top hasn't worked. Another poor outing for the southpaw. Three wickets have fallen, are we in for something here?
AB de Villiers (C)c Luke Ronchi b Jimmy Neesham 23 21 2 2 109.52
21.6
J Neesham to de Villiers, OUT! That is a snorter! Is the game still alive? This was a plan which was going on for the last 15 minutes or so. Only the execution was not proper. This time though, the ball landed on target. Neesham darted in a bouncer outside off and de Villiers who was already on the front foot, had nowhere to go. He tried to get out of the way but could not keep his hands out. The ball kissed his gloves and lobbed to Luke Ronchi who did the rest. Neesham is pumped up. Why not? Auckland is a place for miracles. Just 62 runs needed but if the Kiwis get a wicket or two quickly, who knows....
