David Warner engages MS Dhoni in a verbal battle

The fourth India-Australia Test in Delhi had Warner sledging Dhoni from mid-on.

The event occurred in Australia’s fruitless tour of India in early 2013. Australia went into the fourth test in Delhi facing a series whitewash, and during one of India’s innings, it seemed David Warner at mid-on had some words reserved for India’s captain MS Dhoni, who was on strike. Warner, however, continued to assault Dhoni verbally, who was standing with Ravindra Jadeja, and was mildly asked to calm down by Watson. Dhoni smilingly spoke to Watson when the two were returning to their respective positions. India won the Test to clinch the series 4-0. Warner’s attitude on sledging seems to become mitigated now, and Michael Clarke, ahead of the upcoming Ashes series, has promised that his team will not cross the sledging line.
