Tamil Nadu Congress Commitee (TNCC) President B.S.Gnandesikan said that it was a great honor and tribute that the Bharat Ratna was conferred upon Sachin Tendulkar.

He also referred to Tendulkar as the ‘proud son’ of India and said that it was befitting of him having won the award.

Gnandesikan also added that he was very happy at Sachin’s achievements throughout the years and said that since many youngsters follow the icon, his winning the award will inspire many of them to follow in his footsteps.

Gnandesikan also congratulated Sachin on behalf of the entire TNCC party for his outstanding achievement.
