Gayle’s innings included 12 massive sixes, at least two of which nearly went out of the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore. He also hit as many as seven boundaries in his 57-ball 117. The KXIP bowlers were made to suffer, as five of the six bowlers used went at over 10 runs per over. However, George Bailey and then Manan Vohra both dropped Gayle at varying points in his innings.
