England cricket coach Peter Moores spoke about England’s performance in the tri-series in Australia also featuring India. England reached the final after comprehensively beating India on two separate occasions. Though they were unable to beat Australia, they managed to put in some good performances against the hosts.
James Anderson was the pick of the bowlers for England, while Chris Woakes and Steven Finn also bowled quite well. Moeen Ali took wickets and was solid at the top, while Stuart Broad was a bit rusty after his injury lay-off. On the batting front, Ian Bell, Jos Buttler, Joe Root, and James Taylor looked good. Though Eoin Morgan scored a century in the first game, he faded away after that, getting out first ball on two occasions including the final.
