Yuvraj Singh who will be awarded with Padma Shri on Republic Day has been praised by many and has won accolades too for his cancer battle. Rajiv Shukla Vice-President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that no praise is enough for him and he fully deserves the award to be given by the government.

 

It was announced on Saturday afternoon that the Indian cricketer would be bestowed with the prestigious civilian award. 125 other personalities from various walks of life will be conferred with the Padma awards.

 

The other sportsmen featuring in the list are 22-year-old Dipika Pallikal (squash) and tennis ace Leander Paes.
