Indian batting all-rounder and cancer survivor, Yuvraj Singh has been shortlisted to be conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri award on Sunday, i.e. Republic Day.

 

Yuvraj’s greatest acheivement on-field remains his Man-of-the-series performance during the ICC World Cup 2011. His battle and survival against cancer is also a great tale, as the left-hander showed fighting spirit to comeback from his battle against cancer to play international cricket again.

 

It was announced on Saturday afternoon that the Indian cricketer would be bestowed with the prestigious civilian award. 125 other personalities from various walks of life will be conferred with the Padma awards.
