India face Bangladesh at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 quarter-final clash. Nikhil Popat has a look at the five key possible clashes for the big day tomorrow!

1.    Shakib Al Hasan vs Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli has had good scores so far in this World Cup and going into a crucial encounter, India will want him to get the big score. Kohli is yet to make a 50-plus after getting a ton in the first game against Pakistan in their opening game of the tournament. Shakib Al Hasan has blown more cold than hot in this World Cup and it might not be a bad time for him to step up. With both these players likely to face off in the middle overs, it may as well be a deciding contest. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: SCHEDULE & MATCH DETAILS

2.    Ravichandran Ashwin vs Mahmudullah: When the ICC World Cup 2015 started, Bangladesh had no centurions for them. Now, they have two from the same person, Mahmudullah. For long, playing lower down the order, Mahmudullah played the odd good knock, but having being promoted to No 4, he has played superbly, scoring back-to-back tons. Ravichandran Ashwin has done really well, taking wickets, and also helping India maintain the pressure. Ashwin has always liked to take on the big guns and India will need him to spin a web around the Tigers. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Complete Coverage

3.    Mohammed Shami vs Tamim Iqbal: Tamim Iqbal has a good history against India in ODIs. His 53-ball 51 was the knock which thumped India out of the ICC World Cup 2007. So far, his highest score is of 95 which came in against Scotland. He is unpredictable and his team will need him to fire to get them off to a good start. Mohammed Shami, is the leading wicket taker in ODIs since 2014 and that in presence of some in-form bowlers does go on to show how well he has bowled. He has taken wickets almost every time India wanted him to strike. With the new ball, he is lethal and we might as well see the return of swinging Shami!

4.    Mohit Sharma vs Soumya Sarkar: Both Mohit Sharma and Soumya Sarkar have been consistent in this World Cup. While Sarkar has been a breath of fresh air at the top for Bangladesh, Mohit has been brilliant with his consistency with the ball this World Cup. Coming in as a replacement for Ishant Sharma, he has stepped up and backed up the new ball attack for India. Sarkar has often taken on the best in the business this series and if Bangladesh are to get to a good score, they will need him to fire and make a big score. 5.    Ravindra Jadeja vs Mushfiqur Rahim: Mushfiqur Rahim has quietly played few really important knocks in the ICC World Cup 2015. He has often been the lynch pin for Bangladesh, and plays spin rather well. He has a good all-round game and can accelerate when he wants. Ravindra Jadeja has not quite fired this World Cup and on given form, Rahim may take him to the cleaners. The ‘Sir’ has something to work on. Top 10 fielders in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015
