Anushka Sharma is expected to be present at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday to cheer for her beau Virat Kohli when India clash with Australia for the Boxing Day Test, the third in the four-match series.
Anushka is already in Melbourne for a break after the release of her recent movie PK starring Aamir Khan, and is set to bring in the New Year with Kohli Down Under as reported by entertainment website pinkvilla.com.
Earlier this year, Anushka’s presence in England was blamed by many for Kohli’s dismal performance during India’s disastrous tour of England. But Kohli silenced the critics as he became the fastest to reach 6,000 runs in One Day Internationals during his 53-run knock in a match against Sri Lanka in the presence of Anushka.

The Indian vice-captain has been the most successful for India in the series so far after getting India close to the finishing line in the first test at Adelaide which he captained in the absence of an injured MS Dhoni and then scoring back-to-back hundreds. He was reportedly involved in a dressing-room spat with opener Shikhar Dhawan after falling cheaply in the Brisbane Test that India lost by four wickets.
