Confusion over Hanif Mohammad’s death: chaos on Twitter

It was first reported that Hanif lost the battle of life after fighting for almost three weeks against respiratory complications and congestion.

Legendary Pakistan batsman Hanif Mohammad news of passing away on Thursday at the Aga Khan Hospital at the age of 81 has created a fuss on Twitter. It was first reported that  Hanif lost the battle of life after fighting for almost three weeks against respiratory complications and congestion. He was suffering from lung cancer and also had a surgery in 2013 in London. Hanif’s health was weakening as a result of which he was shifted to ventilator earlier. But moments later, Hanif’s son, Shoaib Mohammad told Pakistan TV channel that his father’s heart had stopped beating but it was again revived after six minutes. Hanif was countering breathing problems and had to be hospitalised at Aga Khan Hospital. Hanif represented Pakistan in 55 Tests between 1952 and 1969 and scored 3,915 runs at a healthy average of 43.98 which included twelve glorious hundreds.

As the news of his tragic demise has created a fuss on Twitter many fans and followers have expressed their grief on the micro-blogging site, and later expressed their glee, when they got to know he is alive.
