Australia’s young paceman looks to break his own bowling record of 153 kmph during the match against Bangladesh on Saturday.
As reported by ANI, Cummins said, “I got up to 153km/hr and, yeah, I hope I can bowl quicker than that.’’
The emerging fast bowler strongly waiting for his turn to go at his full speed as Australia already has good pace attack with Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Johnson.
The 21 year-old Australian further added, “Some days I seem to get into a really good rhythm and the ball just seems to be flying out of my hand. I’m a guy who just rips in and tries to bowl quick. That means being attacking and trying to take wickets, whether it is at the start, the middle or at the end of the game.’’
The Australian fast bowling attack looked positive and coordinated with each other beautifully in their opening match. “We are trying to be aggressive because that is what we do,’’ Cummins said. That is our great strength — we are four guys who run in and simply try to bowl really quick. The boys who played the first game against England are doing really well at the moment but it is a long tournament. I am training hard and hopefully I will get a run,’’ added Cummins.
