The third Twenty20 International (T20I) between Australia and India at Sydney turned out to be a game of a cat and a mouse as the momentum of the game kept shuffling like a pendulum of a clock. Batting first, Australia set a massive target of 198 runs on the board for India to chase.
Shane Watson scored a determined century and guided his team to a huge total. India started off on a promising note as both the openers fired with all guns. The required run rate never dropped down as the Indian batsmen ensured they were always in the run chase.
The final over saw India needing 17 runs more to win with Suresh Rain and Yuvraj Singh at the crease. Yuvraj started the over with a boundary and a maximum and Raina finished off the innings with a boundary and sealed the game with this hit.
With this win India whitewashed Australia and are now boosting with confidence. India script history as they become the first team to clean sweep Australia in their own den in any format in a series of three or more matches.
