Imrul Kayes has been dismissed for 59 off 75 deliveries against Pakistan in the eighth match of the Asia Cup 2014 at Mirpur. His wicket ended a 150-run opening partnership with Anamul Haque. Bangladesh are at 154 for one after 30 overs. Haque is on 82 and Mominul Haque is on two.

Mohammad Talha bowled a short delivery and the left-handed Kayes went for a heave on the leg side. The ball took a deflection and went to wicketkeeper Umar Akmal. The Pakistan players appealed and the umpire initially seemed to wave it off but eventually raised his finger.

Replays showed that the ball might have taken the deflection off Kayes’s left shoulder, but there was a big noise as the ball went past the bat.

Earlier, Abdur Rehman created a dubious world record by registering completed figures of 0-0-8-0 in an international cricket match. The Pakistan left-arm spinner bowled three above the waist no-balls in-a-row.

The hosts made five changes to their side that lost to Afghanistan. Shakib Al Hasan, Kayes, Mahmudullah, Shafiul Islam and Al-Amin Hossain have been included in the starting XI.

Pakistan also made two changes from the side that beat India. Opener Sharjeel Khan sat out with an injury and was replaced by Fawad Alam. Abdur Rehman comes in for Junai Khan.
