In a statement undersigned by the Committee of Administrators, the BCCI congratulated the Indian Cricket Team for registering the first ever Test series win in Australia and reaffirming their No. 1 position in the ICC Test rankings. With the fourth Test at Sydney Cricket Ground ending in a draw, India sealed their first ever series win on Australian soil by virtue of their victories in the first (Adelaide) and third Test (Melbourne).
