KL Rahul and Aaron Finch have helped Sunrisers Hyderabad recover after early losses in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 game against the Chennai Super Kings at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Chennai had struck early to send Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner back early. In nine overs, Hyderabad are 62 for two.
Chennai introduced the spinners are the powerplay came to a close. Ravindra Jadeja bowled his first over immediately after the powerplay and the major highlight of that over was when Rahul swept across the line and hit it over mid-wicket for a massive six. In order to take pace off the ball, MS Dhoni Dhoni then brought in Dwayne Smith to bowl.
Smith had in fact bowled quite a good over, with the batsmen only picking him for singles. However, off the last ball, Finch was able to hit him for four as he strayed onto the pads and the batsman had no problems in hitting it for a four.
Earlier, Dhawan had won the toss and chosen to bat first on the Sharjah wicket that is known to be conducive for batting. Hyderabad made one change to their line-up, in view of strengthening their bowling attack. Ishant Sharma came in to replace Naman Ojha.
