Kevin Pietersen and Dinesh Karthik  were dismissed in Delhi Daredevils’ Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 contest against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Delhi are chasing 185 to win and they were initially bolstered by the opening partnership of 99. In 17 overs, Delhi are 136 for four.

Delhi were going along well in their run-chase of 185 with the openers Murali Vijay and Quinton de Kock smashing it around.  Both batsmen were in good form and hit 99 runs in quick time. While Vijay got to his half century, de Kock fell just short and that put Delhi in a spot. After that Pietersen and Karthik came in. After a brief partnership, Dale Steyn dismissed both batsmen in the 17th over.

Earlier, Hyderabad smashed 184 in their 20 overs. Aaron Finch’s 88 not out and David Warner’s innings of 58 helped them power to that score as the Australian duo attacked the bowlers mercilessly in the slog overs. They were powered by a good start by Shikhar Dhawan, who hit 33.
