Former West Indies batsman Desmond Haynes has hit back at former England bowler Bob Willis for his comments saying that West Indies should now start playing Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. This comes after West Indies lost their Test series 2-0 to South Africa.

“Bob Willis just a short note to say that when we were beating England 5 nil at home and away no West Indies commentators suggested that England should be playing Bangladesh or Zimbabwe,” Haynes said on his Facebook page. He further went on to criticise the West Indies administrators for their poor performances off-late. Haynes said, “I blame our administrators because we are still having coaches from England and other places dealing with our youth”.

Haynes did not stop there, he went on to praise the West Indies side saying they have good talent in the squad. “Bob you said there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Let me tell you that we have some talent here in the West Indies. What we need is better administrators who can used the past players to show you the light at the end of the tunnel,” said the former right-handed batsman.
