India A vs South Africa A: Lungi Ngidi and Theunis de Bruyn added for four-day matches in India

Kyle Verrynne and Marco Jansen replace Gihahn Cloete and Wiaan Mulder in the one-day squad.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) have added fast bowlers Lungi Ngidi and Theunis de Bruyn to the South Africa A squad set to tour India this month for five one-day matches.

Ngidi has been named as replacement for Anrich Nortje who is part of South Africa’s Test squad set to play India in September, while de Bruyn replaces Temba Bavuma who is now South Africa’s Test vice-captain. The allrounder Wiaan Mulder is the replacement for Beuran Hendricks, also in the Test squad to play India.

Mulder has been pulled out of the South Africa A squad to play five one-day games against India A as he continues to recover from injury, but is expected to be fit for the four-day games.

De Bruyn is expected to be available for the second four-day game.

In the one-day squad, the selectors have named Kyle Verrynne and Marco Jansen as replacements for Mulder and Gihahn Cloete (injury).

South Africa A will play India A across formats from August 25 to September 21. The one-day series will be played at The Sports Hub in Thiruvananthapuram from August 29 to September 6.
