Australia batsman, Joe Burns scored his maiden half-century in Test cricket against India on Day 2 of the fourth and final Test match of the four-match series at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney on Wednesday. His half-century came off 94 deliveries that included nine boundaries with a strike-rate of 52.63.
Australia are in a very strong position as they had been bolstered by a strong performance by the top order. David Warner and Steven Smith scored centuries. Chris Rogers narrowly missed out on a ton and then Shane Watson scored 81. This strong performance has put India out of the game.
Australia won the toss and chose to bat first on a good looking wicket. The only change in their team was Mitchell Starc replacing Mitchell Johnson. India made four changes to their team. MS Dhoni’s retirement allowed Wriddhiman Saha to don the gloves. Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar came in place of Cheteshwar Pujara, Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma. KL Rahul managed to hold on to his spot.
