Shreyas Iyer has won the toss and Delhi Capitals (DC) have elected to bowl against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday. (IPL 2019, KKR vs DC: FOLLOW LATEST UPDATES)
Keemo Paul has replaced Sandeep Lamichhane in the playing XI for DC while KKR have made three changes to their team as Lockie Ferguson, Joe Denly and Carlos Brathwaite have been named in the playing XI.
Iyer said that DC elected to bowl as they are doing well while chasing in the last few games and the Eden wicket “looks like a belter”
“We are gonna bowl first. The wicket looks a belter, it’s going to be a flat track. We have been chasing well in the last few games, hence positive about that,” said Iyer. (ALSO READ: IPL 2019: Bruised KKR enter home stretch, face confident Delhi Capitals)
Dinesh Karthik said that the last game, where they lost against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), was a bit of aberration.
“Last game was a bit of aberration. We didn’t expect it would play like that. We have got three changes. Lockie Ferguson, Joe Denly and Carlos Brathwaite come in. Narine, Gurney miss out,” said the KKR skipper. (ALSO READ: IPL 2019: What to expect from Knight Riders vs Delhi Capitals?)
