Defending champions Chennai Super Kings remain on top of the IPL 2019 points table despite losing to bottom-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday night.

This loss was the second in a row for CSK, who earlier last week lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad. Still, they remain No 1 with 14 points.

Chasing 162 to win on Sunday, CSK lost by one run with skipper MS Dhoni not out on 84 off 48 balls. After the loss to RCB, Dhoni explained his reasoning for declining three singles when batting with Dwayne Bravo.
