Mumbai Indians (MI) have snapped up unknown South African Marchant De Lange for a price tag of Rs 30 lacs.
De Lange has previously played for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2012 Indian Premier League (IPL) and is a relatively unknown name in cricketing circles.
Though his obscurity may work to his advantage while playing for Mumbai still the experience of playing for Kolkata will surely be an advantage. for Mumbai.
Now it remains to be seen whether the 23 year old De Lange makes a successful transition from Test to Twenty 20 cricket and shines for Mumbai in the upcoming IPL.
