After mauling the Indians in their backyard, South Africa’s pocket dynamite and rising star, Quinton de Kock has been sold to the Delhi Daredevils for INR 3.5 crores during the IPL 7 auction.

de Kock was an obvious choice for bidders given his record in the ODIs against India and his proficiency on both sides of the stumps. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) started bidding and DD joined in soon afterwards.

DD and KXIP bid vociferously and took the bidding to from a crore to two crores. DD and KXIP continued the tussle till DD acquired him for 3.5 crores.

de Kock was expected to attract high bids ever sine he mauled the Indians with three consecutive centuries in the recently concluded ODI series between India and South Africa.
