Vindoo Dara Singh‘s claim that he came to know a top Indian cricket player’s wife only during the course of Indian Premier League (IPL) VI will only fall flat as the Justice Mukul Mudgal Committee investigation team has found enough evidence in terms of phone call details to prove him wrong.
According to highly-placed sources, the call details clearly show that Singh was in constant touch not just with the player’s wife but also with the star cricketer’s agent long before the commencement of IPL Season VI. It must be mentioned here that in Singh’s own submission before the Mumbai Police, he clearly said that “he knew this player’s wife and agent only during the course of the IPL Season VI matches”.
“The call details of all these three (Singh, star player’s wife and agent) clearly show that Vindoo was telling lies. The call details of all the three of them are clear evidence of how all three of them were frequently calling each other well before the IPL games,” the source told dna on condition of anonymity.
In one such reported admission after the spot-fixing claims were probed by Delhi Police, the match played on May 12, 2013 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) also came into question after it was found that a known bookie was staying in the same hotel as that of the players in Ranchi. KKR won the game by five wickets.

Even Bombay High Court, after Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma’s Public Interest Litigation, took cognisance of this particular game.
All these details along with players’ questioning will be part of the detailed final report that Justice Mudgal committee is likely to submit to the Supreme Court on November 30.
Not just this, Gurunath Meiyappan‘s company AVM Productions employee Kamla Hasan has also reportedly admitted how he obtained a mobile SIM card on his ration card and was later used at least 200 times during the course of three days for placing bets by his employer.
The call data records of Meiyappan clearly show that 200 calls were exchanged between him, Singh and Vikram Aggarwal (alias Victor) in just three days.
And, there was a spike in call logs during Chennai matches. In fact, Meiyappan allegedly used fake documents to procure SIM card used for betting during the IPL scandal.
“We’ve not done any fixing. I met Mudgal Committee and told them everything. I am ready for any lie detector test. Yes, I was betting and so was Gurunath Meiyappan. But understand one thing, not a single rupee exchanged hands. I love betting and I have said that we have bet. But try and understand that we lost bets on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) matches,” Singh told a channel on Monday.
But the big question that now remains is why Indian skipper MS Dhoni lied, not just once but twice, before the Justice Mudgal committee. “The onus is now on Dhoni to prove why he lied to Justice Mudgal committee about the role of Meiyappan in the team functioning,” the source added.
