Former Australia opening batsman and current Western Warriors coach Justin Langer feels presence of big guns like Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Mitchell Marsh and Shaun Marsh will help Western Warriors in a big way in the Matador Cup. These Australian players are set to make their presence felt in the climax of the tournament. It needs to be mentioned here that Warriors also won last year’s Matador Cup and are this year’s favourites too. In a conversation with Cricket Australia’s official website the 44-year-old said, “Rarely do you get the opportunity to see all Australian players playing in domestic cricket. I think it’s a great thing. It’s going to be a really tough competition. It’s going to be great to see that competitiveness. We’re waiting on Nathan Coulter-Nile and Mitchell Johnson at the back end of the tournament, which is exciting. To see Adam Voges, the Marsh boys and Cameron Bancroft playing in Western Australian colours is very exciting. There’s no doubt there’s going to be some tough teams.
