Kings XI Punjab 48 for two in 5.1 overs in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 game against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Earlier, they had lost the wicket of Mandeep Singh in the second over. And then in the sixth over, Wriddhiman Saha knocked one back onto his stumps. Currently, Glenn Maxwell and Virender Sehwag are batting in the centre. In the fourth over, Morne Morkel bowled on a length and Sehwag edged it through the slips for a four. Robin Uthappa tried to get across to it but only got a bit of a glove on it. But, he couldn’t hold and it went through to the ball. In the fifth over bowled by Umesh Yadav, Saha tried to pull him for four but got a top-edge, which fell in no man’s land behind square on the leg-side. Later in the over, Saha picked it off a length through fine-leg for a four. He then lofted one over cover for a four. Off the first ball of the sixth over, Saha got a deliveries from Morkel which was just outside the off-stump and he got an edge and the ball went back onto the stumps.
Earlier, Kolkata won the toss and chose to bowl first on a good looking surface at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. Kolkata brought in Morne Morkel and Piyush Chawla for Shakib Al Hasan and Vinay Kumar. Punjab dropped Shivam Sharma and Laksmipathy Balaji and brought back Parwinder Awana and Rishi Dhawan.
