The statement released by the IPL did not detail Rohit’s offence. When he was ruled lbw by umpire Nitin Menon off the bowling of Harry Gurney, Rohit reviewed the verdict, but unsuccessfully. As he walked off in disappointment, Rohit spoke to the umpire and also knocked off the bails at the nonstriker’s end.

KKR beat Mumbai Indians by 34 runs at Eden Gardens.
