Kusal Mendis’ 194 propelled Sri Lanka to 494. Bangladesh made a strong start in response. They were 118 for no loss when an unusual dismissal of Tamim Iqbal put them in the back foot. Bangladesh had collapsed to 192 for 6 on Day Three before Mushfiqur added 106 for the seventh wicket with Mehedi Hasan Miraz to ensure Bangladesh to some respectability.
