Tim Southee is adjudged man of the match for his figures of seven for 33 in nine overs. Brendon McCullum’s 25-ball 77 ensured that New Zealand got home with 37.4 overs to spare. Here’s our MATCH REPORT

On the bowling front, Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Mitchell McClenaghan, and Daniel Vettori form a potent attack, capable of halting the best of sides. However, England’s pace attack of James Anderson, Chris Woakes, and Steven Finn have been in wonderful form for England, and could well give them the early advantage. New Zealand may be favourites, and given that their third game is also on home soil, they could well go 3-0 up in the tournament, but the game could be decided on how well the New Zealand batsmen can play the formidable English bowlers.
