In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 game played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede stadium at Mumbai, Mumbai made a fine start during the first three overs of the game. However, Bangalore setup got the vital wicket of Ben Dunk, who was caught by Yuvraj Singh off the bowling of medium pacer, Harshal Patel.
Dunk’s partner, C Gautam too looked in good touch for Mumbai. Gautam even used his feet to Harshal to loft him for a towering six. Ambati Rayudu came into bat at No 3 position and he will be expected to do well for Mumbai. He did smash Varun Aaron by getting inside the line of the ball and smashing the seamer for a six.
Earlier, Bangalore won the toss and elected to field. Mumbai suffered a big blow when Zaheer Khan, the experienced left-arm seamer was ruled out due to shoulder injury. The track as expected is flat and should favour the batsmen throughout the game. Bangalore need to keep taking wickets at regular intervals to restrict the opposition. Actually, Mitchell Starc and Aaron generated a decent burst of pace for them.
