The 16th match of the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played between Darren Sammy-led Peshawar Zalmi and Brendon McCullum-led Lahore Qalandars at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai Sports City (DSC) on February 24, Friday. So far in the tournament, McCullum’s Qalandars are at No. 2 spot in the points table, with 3 wins from 6 games. Sammy’s Zalmi, on the other hand, are at the fourth spot in the five-team league with 2 wins from 6 games. However, with only a couple of points separating all the five teams, the tournament is evenly poised at the moment.
In Pakistan, the live cricket streaming will be available on PTV Sports Live, along with the live cricket telecast on Ten Sports, PTV, and Geo Super TV. In United Arab Emirates (UAE), the live cricket streaming will be available on OSN Play, along with the live telecast on OSN Sports. In United Kingdom (UK), the live cricket streaming is available on Prime TV Online, along with the live cricket telecast on Prime TV. Also, in Bangladesh, and West Indies, the live cricket telecast will be available on Gazi TV and Flow TV respectively.
In this season, the two teams have come against each other once to create an extremely low-scoring thriller. Batting first, McCullum’s Qalandars were dismissed for a paltry 59. Of the six bowlers used, Hassan Ali and Chris Jordan were the pick of the bowlers, picking up 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Other four bowlers took a wicket each. The likes of Jason Roy, McCullum, Grant Elliott and Umar Akmal could score just 9 runs between them. In reply, Zalmi crawled to the target in 17 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Yasir Shah (4 for 7) and Sunil Narine (2 for 16) were the chief destructors, but Eoin Morgan and Shahid Afridi guided team home. The second match between the two teams this season is thus expected to be a thrilling affair yet again.
