After being by his wife’s side during the birth of his first child, Gujarat Lions‘ (GL) captain Suresh Raina heads back India to resume for the remaining matches of this season of Indian Premier League (IPL). Raina shared a picture of him during his journey back to India and it assures that the flamboyant batsman will be back on field to lead his team again for the remaining fixture. Raina had gone meet his wife Priyanka in Netherlands and recently became father of a beautiful baby girl. Raina revealed that the baby girl has been named Gracia. Raina had tweeted through his account to confirm the news of becoming a father. He also posted images of his daughter. The Uttar Pradesh cricketer married Priyanka Chaudhary in Delhi on April 3, 2015. Earlier, Raina had said “I have already redone the homes at Holland and Delhi. Right from baby clothes to cots, prams, posters and wallpapers, I have done up both the homes in such a way that Priyanka and the baby will be completely at ease. After the delivery, both of them will travel to India and my whole effort is to ensure their comfort.”
The Gujarat Lions, after a brilliant start, failed to follow the form up by their performance as they lost a few matches back to back later on. The Lions were thrashed in their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers build up a record-breaking partnership of 229 runs and put up a total of 248 runs. Chasing the target, GL failed miserably and were all out for a mere 104. Here is what Raina tweeted:
