Sanju Samson and Ajinkya Rahane are helping Rajasthan Royals recover after the early dismissal of Karun Nair in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Nair was earlier dismissed by R Vinay Kumar in the third over. In six overs, Rajasthan are 45 for one.
Morne Morkel continued to bowl in the fourth over and off the second ball he got one to rise on Rahane. The batsman got an edge which flew in between first slip and the wicketkeeper as it went for a four. The fourth ball gave him a bit of width and he cut it behind point quite gracefully for a four. Narine was introduced in the fifth over itself. In the sixth over, Morkel was smashed by Samson down the ground for four. And then, he flicked one through fine-leg for a four. And then, Samson top-edged a pull for four. And then the last ball was flicked through mid-wicket for a four.
Earlier, Rajasthan won the toss and elected to bat. Rajasthan brought back James Faulkner into the side. Even Iqbal Abdulla came into the team. Plus, Kolkata got back R Vinay Kumar, Shakib Al Hasan, Manvinder Bisla in place of Piyush Chawla, Chris Lynn and Yusuf Pathan.
