Sikkim finished their Ranji Trophy 2018-19 campaign with a high beating Arunachal Pradesh by 10 wickets at the DN Singha Stadium, Goalpara on Wednesday. (ALSO READ: Unbeaten Uttarakhand qualify for knockouts)

Arunachal Pradesh starting their second inning at 102/8, were bundled out for 109 early on day three. Sikkim openers Milind Kumar and skipper Nilesh Lamichaney knocked off the 19 runs required, with Milind scoring all the runs in Sikkim’s second innings. Earlier, Arunachal were bundled out for 169 in the first innings with Milind claiming 5/42. Sikkim made 262 with the help of Milind’s 51 and Lee Yong Lepcha’s 58. In their second dig, Arunachal batters failed once again with Sikkim’s Ishwar Chaudhary claiming 7/51 while Cipul added two wickets. Milind returned 1/19. For Arunachal Kshitiz Sharma made 31 while Techi Neri added 23.

With the end of Sikkim’s season, Milind finishes with the most runs for the season scoring 1331 runs in 14 innings at an average of 121.00. He tally is the second highest in Ranji Trophy history behind 1415 runs scored by VVS Laxman in 1999/00 season for Hyderabad.
