Tillakaratne Dilshan roped in by City Kaitak for Hong Kong T20 Blitz

City Kaitak have announced their first major overseas team member, an internationally renowned Sri Lankan cricketer, Tillakaratne Dilshan for the upcoming Hong Kong T20 Blitz. Often regarded as one of the most innovative batsmen of all time and a legend in modern limited over cricket history, Dilshan is one such rare cricketer who can bat, bowl, field and keep wickets. He is an aggressive right-hand batsman who invented the scoop, which has come to be known as the Dilscoop , that hits the ball over the keeper. Add his electric fielding, especially at backward point, and his very effective off spin, and Dilshan is the complete package.

Dilshan said, I am very excited to be associated with City Kaitak and looking forward to playing in Hong Kong with a great bunch of young Hong Kong players. Not only will I use every opportunity to play my favourite shot, Dilscoop, wearing the City Kaitak colours and entertain the viewers, but I will help with the long-term development of the game in Hong Kong. A City Kaitak spokesman said, We are extremely delighted to have such a senior and respected player like Dilshan join our City Kaitak team, which has good mix of young talented cricketers of Hong Kong. The way tournament is shaping up, we are confident that this event will be watched and followed by cricketing fans around the world.
