A star-studded Delhi team face a mighty Gujarat side for the final match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2015-16. Both the teams have played exceptionally well to eliminate their opponents one after another and have qualified for the much-awaited final match that will decide the champions of this season. The Delhi team beat Himachal Pradesh in their semi-final match by 6-wickets to get to the final while Gujarat beat Tamil Nadu by a good 31-run margin to announce theirselves as the other finalist. The Gujarat team, though started off weak, got back on track with the help of their middle order batsmen Chirag Gandhi and Manpreet Juneja to put up a respectable total of 248 runs for Tamil Nadu to chase. Tamil Nadu batsmen failed miserably as only Abhinav Mukund put up a brilliant performance and remained unbeaten at 104 but saw his side losing the competition to Gujarat.
On the other hand Delhi fully dominated their semi-final as they restricted their opponent Himachal Pradesh within 200 which can be called a par score. They chased the run down easily as their star batsman Unmukt Chand single-handedly scored a massive portion of the runs and gifted his side a much-wanted victory and the ticket to the final.
