Meanwhile, pakpassion.net quoted former Zimbabwe cricketer Kyle Jarvis as saying that though the conditions will be tough for the visitors, they will be competitive and put up a good show. The Zimbabwe tour was thrown in doubt last week, after a terror attack in Karachi left 47 people dead. Zimbabwe Cricket had released a statement, saying that the national side would not go ahead with the tour, on the advice of the country’s sports regulatory authority, the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC). However, just minutes later, the statement had been withdrawn, with players who were reluctant to travel having been persuaded to tour after additional security measures were announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
