Team Rajasthan 167 (41.3) | R Bishnoi 3(10)| vs Services 230/7 (50) Thanks to a collective effort from their bowlers, Services have defeated Rajasthan by 63 runs and gained four points in the process. Suraj Yadav shined with both bat and ball as he first scored 30-ball 44 and then picked up two wickets. Yashpal Singh’s unbeaten 75 also proved to be crucial in the end.

Baroda 177 (46.5) | PR Shah 23(24)| vs Delhi 208/7 (50): Delhi have pulled a dramatic win over an equally strong Baroda team by 31 runs. Subodh Bhati’s 4 for 17 proved too much for the Baroda players, as they lost a match which was theirs to lose. With this win, Delhi have earned four points.

Mumbai 255/5(41.2) | A Nayar 44(52), S Thakur 0(0) | vs Punjab 254 (48.1): Riding high on Jay Bista’s 87-ball 92 on his List A debut, Mumbai have beaten Punjab by five wickets and earned valuable four points in the process. Bista’s knock eclipsed Yuvraj Singh’s 93-ball 93 and scripted victory for his team.

Bengal 238/4 (41.2) | M Tiwary 62(48), L Shukla 10(10) | vs Goa 235/9 (50) Bengal overcame the victory target of 236 set by Goa quite easily. Its reply was led by openers Shreevats Goswami and SS Mandal, who both scored half-centuries. Later, captain Manoj Tiwary scored unbeaten 48-ball 62 to get his team across the line. Earlier, Bengal’s bowling, led by Ashoke Dinda, restricted Goa to just 235. With this win, Bengal have earned four points now.

Vidarbha 223 (47.2) | RD Thakur 2(2) | vs Odisha 226/9 (50) : In the closest match of the day, Odisha beat Vidarbha by three runs. The match was a roller coaster ride as first Vidarbha were reduced to 5 for 59. Then they made a stunning comeback as Jangid (97) and Karnewar (72) added 157 runs for the sixth wicket and brought the team well within the reach of a win. With just 11 needed, Alok Sahoo (5 wickets) and Basant Mohanty (2 wickets) wrecked havoc and took last five wickets for just seven runs, thus causing a heartbreak for Vidarbha. With the win, Odisha have gained four points.

Spinner Shahbaz Nadeem was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 28, as Jharkhand prevailed by nine runs. Did a certain MS Dhoni, who was keeping the wickets but not leading the side, script the win from behind using all his experience?

Kerala 232 (50) | B Thampi 12(16) | vs Haryana 241/7 (50) Kerala have lost the match by nine runs. Skipper Sachin Baby’s 95 went in vain as the spin duo of Amit Mishra and Jayant Yadav shared six wickets between them and spelled doom for Kerala. With the win, Haryana have earned four points.

Railways 232/9 (50)| A Pandey 19(19), K Upadhyay 2(3) | vs Karnataka 228/9 (43) : Railways beat the strong Karnataka side by one wicket in a tight finish. Chasing 229, they were at one point 5 down for 112 and the victory seemed improbable. But that is when the duo of Mahesh Rawat and Karn Sharma came together and stitched the match-winning partnership of 78 runs. Later, once they were out, Pandey and Anureet completed the formalities. For Karnataka, skipper Vinay Kumar led from the front by scoring unbeaten 50 and taking four wickets. But his efforts went in vain as Railways won the match on the last ball and earned four valuable points.
