1-0 down in the two-match Test series against Australia, Sri Lanka on Monday picked Chamika Karunaratne to replace the injured pacer Lahiru Kumara. Dushmantha Chameera too will miss out playing the second Test after suffering an injury during Sri Lanka’s innings and 40-run defeat at the Gabba last week. (ALSO READ: Pat Cummins is Australia’s highest-ranked bowler in five years)
The National selectors have picked Right Arm Fast Bowler Chamika Karunaratne in place of injured Lahiru Kumara to join the team in Australia. (ALSO READ: Langer throws his weight behind struggling Starc, Khawaja)
The bowler will join the team in due course.
Dushmantha Chameera, who suffered an injury on his left ankle; while bowling during the 01st Test match will be out of the 2nd test.
Both the injured bowlers (Lahiru Kumara and Dushmantha Chameera) will arrive home on Tuesday.
