Mumbai Indians (MI) are at 108 for two after 15 overs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Corey Anderson is batting on 39 and Rohit Sharma is on 45. Mumbai had won the toss and elected to bat in Match 13 of IPL 7. Openers Michael Hussey and Aditya Tare are the two batsmen to have been dismissed. It has been a better set of overs for Mumbai.
The 50 for Mumbai came in the 10th over after the strategic time-out. Anderson struck the first six of the match in that over. Raina tossed one up and Anderson hit it over long-off for a big six. Hilfenhaus was brought to bowl in the 11th over and Rohit flicked the first ball over mid-wicket for a six of his own. That meant Mumbai had struck two sixes in-a-row.
Hilfenhaus dug one in short and Anderson attempted the pull. He did not got a good connection and the ball went high in the air. But to Anderson’s luck, the ball fell in the mid-wicket region as three fielders were just out of reach. Rohit gave Raina the charge and guided a wide delivery in front of short third-man for a four. The next ball was pulled over deep square-leg for a six.
Anderson then smashed one back to Raina, but the bowler could not hold onto the tough catch. Ravindra Jadeja was finally brought into the attack in the 15th over. Anderson got down on one knee and flat-batted a length delivery from Jadeja towards long-on for a four. That brought up the 100 for Mumbai. Rohit then cut a wide delivery in the air, but the ball just fell short and wide of the backward-point fielder and went for a four.
