Fakhar Zaman looks set to make his Test debut against Australia on Tuesday after he was named in Pakistan s 12-man squad for the second Test in Abu Dhabi.

Imam-ul-Haq s fractured finger, sustained during the Dubai Test which Australia drew in a surprise upset, has opened up a debut for Zaman who this summer became the first Pakistan batsman to score 200 in an ODI and the fastest man to 1,000 ODI runs.

The uncapped left-arm quick Mir Hamza and Shadab Khan, who missed the Dubai Test with injury, have also been named in the 12 for the Abu Dhabi Test. One of them look set to replace Wahab Riaz, who in his first Test in over a year went wicketless across 27 overs in Dubai.

The pitch at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium wears a distinctly green finger.
