Claiming 12 wickets in New Zealand’s 1-4 series defeat to India has put Trent Boult at No 3 in the latest ICC rankings for ODI bowlers, while former India captain MS Dhoni has gained three places in the ODI batsmen table for his recent spike in form.
Boult was the most successful bowler of the series with 12 wickets at 15 apiece, with a match-winning haul of 5/21 in the fourth ODI which New Zealand won. This saw him jump seven places to sit at No 3 behind Jasprit Bumrah and Rashid Khan.
For his batting exploits in Australia and New Zealand, Dhoni has moved up three spots to occupy 17th place. Dhoni was Man of the Series in Australia for scores of 51, 55* and 57* and in two innings in New Zealand he made 48* and 1. (WATCH: MS Dhoni’s street-smart brilliance dupes Jimmy Neesham)

Bhuvneshwar Kumar‘s series-leading eight wickets in the 2-1 win in Australia and seven wickets in New Zealand have earned him a jump of six places to 17th place. South Africa pacer Andile Phehlukwayo‘s eight wickets in the 3-1 series win over Pakistan have taken him up 13 places to sit at 19th in the ODI bowler rankings.
Kedar Jadhav is the other Indian batsman to gain ground, moving up eight places to No 35. In four innings spanning the Australia and New Zealand tours, Jadhav scored 118 runs with innings of 61*, 22*, 1 and 34.
In other movements, the South African trio of Quinton de Kock (up one place to eighth), Hashim Amla (up three places to 13th) and Reeza Hendricks (up 36 places to 94th) have made upwards gains.
