Rajasthan Royals (RR) are at 127 for seven against Mumbai Indians (MI) after 18 overs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Brad Hodge is batting on 34 and James Faulkner is on 18. Harbhajan Singh, Pragyan Ojha and Shreyas Gopal have finished with two wickets each. Rajasthan are chasing a 179-run target. Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat.
Krishmar Santokie bowled the 17th over. Faulkner struck the last ball of the over for a six towards long-on. Jasprit Bumrah was brought back to bowl the 18th over. Hodge slammed the fifth delivery over long-on for a six. The current stand was worth 52 runs for the eighth wicket at 8.66 runs an over.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians posted a competitive total of 178 for three in their 20 overs. Lendl Simmons top-scored with 62 off 51 deliveries. He struck six fours and two sixes. Michael Hussey scored 56 off 39 deliveries with three fours and two sixes. Rohit Sharma scored a 19-ball 40 towards the end. He hit three fours and four sixes. Left-arm spinner Ankit Sharma took two wickets.
