Off spinner Jayant Yadav has been ruled out of the ongoing Quadrangluar A Series after suffering a right side strain injury, a BCCI release stated.

The 28-year-old will be undergoing rehab at NCA, Bengaluru and and replacing him India B squad in the ongoing Quadrangular series will be allrounder Jalaj Saxena.

Jayant had only played one match for India B returning 0/45 before he picked up the injury  and was subsequently ruled out of the right match of the series on Saturday against India A.

The Haryana player has represented India in four Test matches scoring 228 runs at an average of 45.60 including one hundred and a fifty. He has picked up 11 wickets at an average of 33.36.

Earlier in the day, Mayank Agarwal continued his impressive form and struck a match-winning century for India B against India A in the eighth match of the Quadrangular tournament.

Agarwal’s seventh List A century helped India B overhaul the 218-run target set by India A and win the match by seven wickets and book a place in the final. Agarwal’s knock also made him the leading run-scorer this year in List A cricket. In 19 innings, Agarwal has totalled 1376 runs at an average of 76.44.
