Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) are at 24 for one against Mumbai Indians (MI) after three overs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Virender Sehwag has been run-out for 17 off 11 deliveries. Manan Vohra is batting on six and SHaun Marsh is on zero. Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field. Shaun Marsh was brought in place of David Miller by Punjab. Praveen Kumar came into the Mumbai line-up as Harbhajan Singh made way.
Virender Sehwag and Manan Vohra opened the batting for Punjab. Praveen Kumar began proceedings. The first delivery was wide and cut through point for a four by Sehwag. The second delivery was struck for a six over long-off on the front-foot. Krishmar Santokie shared the new ball with Praveen.
The first delivery was full and wide outside off-stump and Vohra placed it through cover for a four. He too got off the mark with that shot. Sehwag then flat-batted a length delivery down the ground for a six. In the third over, Sehwag hit one back off Praveen. The ball struck Vohra’s bat and the batsmen took off for a quick single. Praveen reacted quickly as he collected the ball and got a direct hit at the bowler’s end to dismiss Sehwag. He was out for 17 runs off 11 deliveries.
