Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the 29th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. It’s a Pool B encounter between Pakistan and South Africa at Auckland. I am Pramod Ananth, and I will be bringing you the over-by-over updates of the match. Pakistan vs South Africa: Preview
South Africa take on Pakistan in a crucial encounter for both teams. Both the teams have registered two wins on the trot and will be looking to carrying on their momentum into this game as well. South Africa gave Ireland a thumping in their previous game, courtesy of centuries from Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: POINTS TABLE
Pakistan, on the other hand registered a tight 20-run win over Zimbabwe and a comfortable win over United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their previous two games. Return to form of opener Ahmed Shehzad, who scored 93, should give Pakistan a major boost going into this game. They however have a problem with the other opener Nasir Jamshed, who has been in a horrendous form. His inclusion in the team ahead of Sarfraz Ahmed should raise a few eyebrows. Their bowling department looks like a settled unit, however the inclusion of leg spinner Yasir Shah might be on the cards just to add to the variety. Top 10 batsmen in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015
South Africa have an opening problem of their own. Quinton de Kock has not had the best of tournaments with the bat. South Africa might look to get Rilee Rossouw to open the batting with Amla, with skipper AB de Viliers taking over as the wicket keeper. This might pave way for JP Duminy to make it to the team, who has been kept on the sidelines for the last few games. Top 10 bowlers in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015
This is a must win match for both teams, as the winner of the match will inch closer to the quarter-finals of the tournament. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: SCHEDULE & MATCH DETAILS
