Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) clash in the Pool B match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at the Saxton Oval in Nelson on Thursday. While UAE play their first game of the tournament, Zimbabwe make their second appearance of the tournament, having featured in the opening Pool B game against South Africa on February 15. UAE are currently playing their second World Cup, having made their first appearance in the mega-event in the 1996 edition which was hosted in the Indian subcontinent. While the team is a relatively inexperienced one, with the oldest player Khurram Khan having made only 10 One-Day International (ODI) appearances till date, they will have the hunger to prove themselves on a stage such as this. Zimbabwe however, will hold the psychological edge when they take the field at the Saxton Oval, having produced the most satisfactory performances in the World Cup so far. They put New Zealand in a spot of bother in a washed-out game and beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the warm-ups, before putting up a terrific fight against South Africa in the Pool B opening game.
