Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have reached a score of 48 for one against Mumbai Indians (MI) after six overs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Manan Vohra is batting on 23 and Shaun Marsh is on six. Virender Sehwag was the first batsman to have been dismissed. He was run-out for 17 off 11 deliveries. Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field. Shaun Marsh was brought in place of David Miller by Punjab. Praveen Kumar came into the Mumbai line-up as Harbhajan Singh made way.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled the fourth over. He bowled one short and Vohra mistimed his pull, but the ball went over Rohit at mid-off for a four. Bumrah then bowled one wide and Vohra threw his bat at it and got an edge towards third-man for a four. After conceding 11 runs in his first over, Praveen gave only one run each in his next two overs.

Pragyan Ojha was brought on for the last over in the powerplay. The first delivery was short and Vohra pulled the ball for a six down the ground. Shaun Marsh got off the mark with a slog-sweep over wide long-on for a six.
